Configuring an Endpoint

Each endpoint in Omnilert will require some basic configuration. The configuration may be as simple as entering a "From Name" for outgoing SMS text messages, or more in-depth settings for CAP feeds, or other devices.

Thankfully, Omnilert makes configuring a new endpoint pretty simple. The most basic settings for each endpoint are pretty much the same, so let's take a look at those.

To configure an endpoint, simply click on its name in either the Active or Inactive list.

The two most basic settings for any Endpoint are:

• Name: This is the name that will appear in the list and on your Send Message page. For example, if you want to refer to "SMS" as "Text Messages", you can change the name right here.
  
  
• Default select: If you'd like this endpoint to be pre-selected when composing new messages, then this box should be checked.

There may be several other tabs for the configuration of the each endpoint. Instructions for setting up the various services can be found in the help section for each service.
