The "SEED" endpoint in Omnilert provides a convenient way to send email to a specified address, such as listserve or mailing list.
SEED is a very simple endpoint. In short, SEED will send an email to whatever address(es) are listed in its configuration. So, the potential uses reach beyond mailing lists, as SEED could be used for any situation where you'd like to send a special, independent email.
The SEED endpoint can support multiple addresses (up to 10), with each email on its own line in the "S.E.E.D. address" setting.
By default, SEED will put each address in the "BCC:" field of the outgoing email. However, some mailing lists require the sender to use the "TO:" field.
Override BCC field for S.E.E.D. is used to force SEED to send email to each address using the visible "TO:" field instead of "BCC:".
Emails from SEED will come from no-reply@omnilert.com and have both SPF records and DKIM signatures.
Note: The sender's "From Name" text label used for SEED emails will be taken from the Settings >> System >> Account settings.
