The EAS CAP endpoint provides messages in Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) format with fields selected to use with Emergency Alert System (EAS) devices.
Much like the standard Common Alert Protocol (CAP) endpoint, the EAS CAP endpoint can be used to pull alerts using the Default EAS retrieval URL or Omnilert can push alerts (using HTTP/HTTPS POST).
To push alerts, simply insert your listening server's URL in the Default URL to post to setting.
Be sure to set default values for each EAS CAP field according to your EAS device/service's needs. (The field options provided in drop-down menus are those determined by the CAP standard for use in EAS messaging. )
The Default geocodes are used to indicate location info for the EAS CAP alert messages. Multiple geocodes can be included, with each code on a new line in the Omnilert EAS CAP settings.
