When sending a message from the Send Message page, the first step is to "Select who". This selects the recipients for text, email, and voice messages (if those endpoints are chosen in Step 2).
Looking closely at the list, you'll notice a few interesting pieces of information:
- "ALL SUBSCRIBERS": If you see "ALL SUBSCRIBERS" at the top of the list, this is a special option to send to every single subscriber in your institution's Omnilert system, regardless of groups chosen. (Use this option with caution, of course!)
- Padlock Icon: A padlock icon indicates that it's a "private" group. Private groups are not displayed to subscribers in the Subscriber Portal. Subscribers must be assigned to private groups. These are typically internal groups.
- Number: You will notice that groups have numbers on the right-hand side of the list. This indicates the total number of subscribers who are members of the group.
- (Empty): If a group's name says "Empty" next to it, the group has 0 valid subscribers subscribed to it. As you can guess, an empty group can't be selected for outgoing messages.
