Omnilert can be used to send mass email to your end-users. With any mass mail system, spam blockers can be an issue. Omnilert doesn't send spam, but mass mail can trigger a false-positive on some spam control systems.
Thankfully, all Omnilert emails use 2 technologies to help prevent spam blockers from blocking Omnilert emails:
- Sender Policy Framework (SPF). SPF checks can tell if the server sending an email is who the from address says they are. Omnilert maintains up-to-date SPF records. All legitimate Omnilert emails will pass an SPF check.
- DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM). DKIM signatures are employed to ensure that the content of Omnilert email hasn't been tampered with. Spammers don't usually digitally sign their work.
Using these two technologies, most Omnilert emails should stay out of the "spam" folder. We encourage all clients to utilize SPF/DKIM filters in their mail systems. They're also industry standards that should be employed to prevent spam.
If you wish to whitelist the sender address, emails will come from no-reply at omnilert.com or no-reply at e2Campus.com (for e2Campus brand services.) That should prevent messages from Omnilert from being improperly filtered as spam/junk email.
