Introducing the new Omnilert Desktop Alert
The New Omnilert Desktop Alert: High-Visibility Alerting & Cross-Platform App Capability
We’re excited to introduce the new Omnilert Desktop Alert—redesigned with advanced capabilities for high-impact messaging on both desktop and wall-mount displays and access to the full feature set of the Omnilert App directly on your desktop.
The new version adds many new features and enhancements. Images can now be incorporated into full screen alerts, automatically shown alongside your message in a highly readable “slideshow” format. All the capabilities of the Omnilert app are included, allowing desktop users to receive native desktop notifications, discreetly initiate panic events, and engage with two-way interactions, and Priority Alerts. In addition, we’ve simplified deployment and remote management, with a more flexible way to assign desktops to users or groups by location.
Cross-platform, actionable and simple full screen alerting
With the new Omnilert Desktop Alert as part of your multimodal messaging strategy, you can focus on alerting your constituents across the devices where they are, and not about limitations of any one platform. Whether targeting SMS, Email, the Omnilert App or Omnilert Desktop Alert, your full message, including any included images are fully presented to your Subscribers.
This is because, the new Omnilert Desktop Alert was designed to be responsive to your organization’s use—auto-scrolling lengthy alert content for displays with no mouse, keyboard or touch input, auto-advancing “slides” to display imagery that supports your message content, the ability for a user interacting with an active alert, to silence and digest it before acknowledging, and reacting to the situation.
Native broadcast notifications, two-way interaction & prevention response
And now, all the familiar capabilities of the Omnilert App can be easily accessed on shared or personal computers, including the ability to initiate a discrete panic event, respond to two-way Engagements, access critical resources that can be updated in real time, or submit tips, routed to any preselected group you define.
What’s more, predefined users can now receive and respond to Priority Alerts—actionable, prevention-focused critical event alerts—directly on their desktops, in addition to their mobile devices. Whether it be responding to a panicked constituent in need of support, reviewing a tip report, alerting staff to an inbound critical weather event or even instantly initiating facility lockdown procedures in response to a detected threat of gun violence through Omnilert Gun Detect, you can now use any device you’re focused on to instantly respond.
Upgrading to the new Omnilert Desktop Alert for existing customers is simple and can be done side-by-side with the previous version of Desktop Alert (“Legacy”). We will continue to provide maintenance support for Desktop Alert Legacy for the duration of your current agreement to allow ample time for planning and deployment of our expanded capabilities.
