Updates to the Omnilert Priority Alert Framework
Omnilert Priority Alerts: Proactive Prevention Tools
Improve preventative efforts, unify actionable alert data for easy use, and automate your response with Omnilert Priority Alerts.
Over the last several months Omnilert customers have gotten access to powerful new tools that have allowed them to receive, review and respond to critical incidents as they arise in their organizations, campuses and teams. We refer to these as Priority Alerts—actionable, prevention-focused critical event alerts delivered to targeted members of your team via SMS and the Omnilert App across mobile, web and desktop.
With Priority Alerting you can receive actionable alerts, instantly for:
- Gun threats in your facility through Omnilert Gun Detect, 24/7 autonomous AI monitoring,
- Your subscribers' Panic Events submitted via the mobile app or desktop software panic buttons,
- Critical weather events via Weather Alert,
- Customizable use cases via the Priority Alert API and Custom Priority Alerts,
- And, an update to Tip Reporting coming soon, allowing subscribers to add images and videos for added context through the Priority Alert framework.
Priority Alert Cards and Configuration
When a Priority Alert is triggered, a predetermined set of staff receive an Alert Card that pulls together all the information available about an emergent event into an action-oriented format so that meaningful decisions can be executed quickly. Priority Alert Cards can display rich data for a number of use cases from a panicked Subscriber’s location and direct contact information, the media, text and location of a Tip Report, or video and a snapshot of someone brandishing a firearm within your facility.
With critical context available, no matter what device you’re using, recipients are able to take direct action in response to the event with Priority Alert Actions—whether that be notifying your constituents of an urgent change in a weather system which automatically polls for their ability to safely seek shelter via Scenarios and Engage, or locking down campus access control points while instantly sharing the image, video, location and more with first responders in response to the threat of gun violence on your campus.
Finally, Priority Alert Cards allow for all recipients to share a common picture of the actions taken in response to an event, by displaying those directly within the Alert Card.
These Priority Alerts are currently built end-to-end within the Omnilert Platform’s Prevention Suite and once enabled for your account can be configured in less than 1 minute. To more consistently present and enable your configuration of Priority Alerts, we will be consolidating them within the Omnilert platform. Depending upon which Priority Alert capability your organization is enabled with, soon you will see all of your Priority Alert configuration options in one spot, right in the navigation menu.
Custom Priority Alerting
Streamline and centralize instant notification and response to any event on your facility or campus.
Using the Priority Alert API, you can craft an alert via a secure webhook that, when activated, will send a shared view of the event to a targeted recipient list that logs the actions taken on the alert. You can include multiple images or video clips, and a mapped location, along with as much or as little detail about the event as desired. In addition to being alerted of an event, you can create the ability to issue a command to any other tool that can receive Webhooks, and for Omnilert Manage customers—who will automatically have access to Customer Priority Alerts—include Scenarios to fire off pre-scripted messaging, that could include actions to set off web enabled alarms, request first-responder dispatch to an affected location, deliver pre-scripted messages to your all your constituents, or lock down your entire campus or select web-connected access points.
Whether for unique critical safety emergencies, or critical facilities system alerting—Custom Priority Alerts unlock the power of our full Priority Alert Framework for use wherever you like.
