Endpoints: Twitter

Omnilert can be configured to send messages to the popular microblogging platform, Twitter. Simply add the Twitter endpoint and then configure it as follows:

Click the Click here to authorize with Twitter button

A new window will open on Twitter's website. Log into the desired Twitter account and click the Authorize app button.

Twitter will then display a PIN...

Copy your PIN and paste it into the space provided in Omnilert's Twitter configuration screen and then click Update configuration

That's all there is to it.

Removing a Twitter account

To remove a Twitter account, simply click the Unassign button in the Twitter configuration screen.

Please note:

Twitter feeds have an absolute max length of 280 characters.

To gain additional characters for your tweets, the Subject line is not included by default.

To include the message Subject in outgoing tweets, enable the Use subject in message option.
