SmartCode is commonly used in "Opt-In" implementations, where your subscribers self-register for alerts through your institution's website.
Simply copy and paste the SmartCode snippets into your site's source HTML. The snippets are provided in your Omnilert account's Tools >> SmartCode section.
The most commonly used snippets are the "User Account Login" SmartCode, which creates an end-user login form:
...and the "User SignUp Form":
The above code is an example. Your site's SmartCode will be unique to your Omnilert instance.
To use Omnilert's SmartCode on your website, just copy/paste the form into your HTML source.
When your web page renders in a user's browser, the appropriate forms will appear.
However, the form contents can be styled using CSS to match your website's fonts, colors, etc.
There are many options for customizing the forms returned by SmartCode.
Looking to Customize your SmartCode forms?
Your Omnilert Administrator's Manual will include a section on "SmartCode Extensions" which can be used to change the layout, form fields offered, and even the labels on some fields.
